Mentoring Ministry Leadership Training

Whether your church or ministry has already established a mentoring ministry or is still in the start-up phase, our training has the experience and commitment to help you get where God is leading you. During this two day training you will be equipped to bring mentoring to the next level. With experienced associates who have decades of ministry experience, we certify that our training will provide you and your team with the quality, resources, knowledge, understanding and the commitment to be equipped and empowered to establish and maintain a ministry that will engage, impact and transform lives for Jesus Christ.

At one of our regional Leadership Trainings you will learn:

· Biblical Basis: Understanding God's call for the church to mentor

· Best Practices:  Standard practices for safe and effective mentoring

· Recruiting: Proven ways to motivate mentors -- especially men

· Screening: Techniques to get the best mentors for your kids

· Training: Methods and materials to prepare your mentors for ministry

· Supervision: How to oversee your matches to produce long-term, transforming relationships

· Evaluation: How to assess your ministry's effectiveness

· Teamwork: Developing a ministry team for mentoring

· Youth and Family Development: An understanding of at-risk youth, their families and their world

· Safety Issues: Policies and practices to keep kids safe in mentoring relationships

CAYM* Members: $100 per person / Non CAYM* members: $125 per person

Mentoring Training

This training, conducted at your church or ministry, will help mentors to understand the world of at-risk youth and how to reach them with the hope of Christ.

One-2-One will work with you to provide the training your mentors need. We can assist you by:

· Providing the training for your mentors. We will come to your ministry and conduct mentor trainings for you until we can help you train up a “Ministry Trainer” of your own.

· Connecting you with a network of One-2-One Partners mentor trainings being conducted in your area. This allows you  to keep the screening process moving along even if you only have 1 or 2 mentors needing training at a given time. It is God’s people working together!

Cost:

One-2-One does not charge for the Mentor Trainings. If the trainings require a flight and hotel stay, we do ask if the partnering ministry can make a donation to One-2-One to cover the costs.
